style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ffffff;\">Ekmel Ertan works as an artist, curator, and educator. Ertan is the founder and artistic director of I\u0307stanbul based amberPlatform (by BIS, Beden-I\u0307s\u0327lemsel Sanatlar Derneg\u0306i \/Body-Process Arts Association), which is a research and production platform on art and new technologies. Ertan is the artistic director of the international \u201camber Art and Technology Festival\u201d in Istanbul since 2007. He curated international amberPlatform exhibitions and events and several others as an independent curator. Ertan is also working as the site coordinator and director of international projects based in Turkey and Europe in the conjunction of art and technology \/new media and society.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ffffff;\">Ertan has exhibited his new media installations, photography and collaborative performance works in Turkey, Europe, and The States.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ffffff;\">Ertan received his BSc degree in Electronics \/ Communication Engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul and his MA degree in Interactive Media Design from Y\u0131ld\u0131z Technical University. He worked as a design and test engineer on telecommunication systems in Turkey, Germany, and Belgium. He started a multimedia design company in 1997 in Istanbul. Between 1999 and 2006 he taught new media design at Istanbul Bilgi University, I\u0307stanbul Technical University, and Y\u0131ld\u0131z Technical University; between 2006 and 2014 he taught at Sabanc\u0131 University. Post-modern, post-digital, post-truth, and other posts. Among them, post-media is one of the determinative terms for the art world of today. The title of this presentation twisted by the terminology problem which started with the very beginning of the genre(s) so-called Media Art, New Media or Digital Arts later and the terminology is still transforming. In this presentation, I will focus on Moving Image from the New Media perspective and sample some
