--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passing Time<\/strong> is a video work created with the artist\u2019s filmmaker son Nasseim Valamanesh, featuring the repeated action of the artist\u2019s thumbs and forefingers slowly moving and touching to continuously form an infinity sign. Only the artist\u2019s hands are visible, suspended in a black space and the video is presented within a custom-built black box so that the viewer encounters it by looking down into the box, as though into a well. This point of view creates a sense of intimacy, like looking down on one\u2019s own hands, and also abstracts it by enabling the viewer to see the work from different angles.
