Seemingly There

Program 1: Seemingly There

Searching beyond the appearances of everyday life and the observational impulse to register the world as is, the works in the program alter our relationship to the landscapes we inhabit and traverse by giving over directorial control to other forces, actors and chance encounters. As experiments in both collaborative creation and collective viewing, they imagine the cinema screen as a site that is, at once, a place of gathering and a place of divergence for bodies, sounds and words in motion.
