Walk Around New Media

In early April 2017, coinciding with the 7th edition of Limited Access festival, New Media Society starts its new series of Workshops.

Walk around New Media is a two-day workshop held by Helia Hamedani, curator & researcher based between Tehran & Rome. The workshop is a historical introduction which emerged two decades after the world war two and it overlooks upon various disciplines and frames such as archiving, wandering in the city as well as the appearance of the curator as a key player to the increasing influence of technology in the realm of visual arts. The workshop will continue with a glance on a timeline prior to the fall of Berlin wall and end of cold war till the age of Internet and the moment the term New Media was coined as a crucial keyword for understanding contemporary art.
